Gunner's Place is part of the Chalets at the Lake rental properties, and is an entire space dedicated to each individual guests. Although there are neighboring chalets, Gunner's Place offers plenty of privacy and individual comfort.
Located on 20 acres of semi secluded West Virginia wilderness. This distinctive A-frame cabin in the chalet style is perfect for the wooded environment of the Gauley River National Recreation Area. Gunner's Place includes a private deck, sleeping loft, master bedroom, full bathroom, living room, full kitchen and dinette area. Free WiFi, smart TV, gas heat, air-conditioning, gas grill, outdoor fire ring, outdoor chairs, picnic table, and 5 person hot tub also included.
With a short drive, our guests can enjoy a multitude of outdoor recreation; including the New River George National Park and Summersville State Park.

Policies
Cancellation Policy
Reservations can be cancelled a full 30 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, with a cancellation fee of $25.00. Cancellations within 15 days or less of the scheduled arrival date will be refunded 50% of deposit. Cancellations within 7 days or less of the scheduled arrival date will not be refunded for any reason. All cancellations must be made through the website or email communication.
Deposit Policy
To confirm a reservation Chalets at the Lake requires a deposit of 50% to paid at the time the dates are secured. The deposit goes toward the reservation total. Taxes and fees will be added to the rental amount. Payment in full is required 15 days prior to check in date. Chalets at the Lake will automatically charge the balance due to the original card on file 15 days prior to the check in date. Reservations made within 7 days of the check in date will be paid in full at the time the reservation is made.

Very cute A-frame cabin. Had all the amenities listed and stayed toasty and cozy throughout our stay. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub and short drive to the national park. Nice little weekend getaway.
Although the cabin was very well maintained, clean and charming as soon as you walked in there was a very powerful sewage smell that did not leave the premises. It appeared to be coming from the bathroom. Even with the door shut it did not leave the cabin. Without the smell it would have been a perfect stay unfortunately.

If I can give 1,000,000,000 STARS ⭐️ I so would, at first hand when entering this place it gives you nothing better then a beautiful clean smell & look! I love how quiet it was and the surroundings!! The hot tub was immaculate ? so clean and fresh.
The beds are so comfortable and cozy ❤️ the heaters works amazing also to brings it that warm cozy feeling like your at home. All around I literally wish my husband and I can buy this place bc of how beautiful it is!! Thank you so much for sharing this house for my husband and I !!!❤️
